Job summary

USA Clinics Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our healthcare team across Ohio clinics. You will greet patients, assist physicians during procedures, manage vitals, and maintain a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include EMR documentation, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection. IT systems include Epic, Athenahealth, and eClinicalWorks. Only candidates with related training and 1–2 years of experience will be considered.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–2 years hands-on clinical experience in medical assisting or direct patient care required
  • Experience with vital signs, rooming patients, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred
  • Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment required

  • Document vital signs, medical histories, and clinical information in EMR/EHR
  • Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, specimen collection within training scope
  • Document patient interactions accurately in EMR/EHR
  • Deliver exceptional patient service in a fast-paced clinic setting
  • Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
  • Support patient care across physician offices, clinics, urgent care, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health
  • Leverage bilingual skills to support patient interactions when applicable

Position Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team and ensuring a smooth workflow in our clinics. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians during medical procedures, managing patient interactions, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.

Position Details
  • Location: Canfield, Canton, Fairlawn, Middleburg, OH clinics
  • Schedule: Full-Time, 4 days per week, 32 hours (Tuesday-Friday)
  • Compensation: $20-$24hr based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
  • Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
  • Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
  • Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
  • Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
  • Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician), required.
  • Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
  • Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required.
