Job summary

Norco is seeking an Medical AR Specialist to manage billing and collections for designated payers and locations. You will handle claims submissions, denials, posting payments, and patient communications to keep AR aging under control.

The role requires knowledge of medical terminology and coding, proficiency in Excel/Outlook, and strong data entry accuracy to support accurate billing and timely reimbursements for services at our Meridian, Idaho facility.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable on the insurance process, medical terminology, and coding.
• Proficient within Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Understand and remember various accounting codes and how to appropriately use them.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics calculations.
• Ability to accurately enter data into computers and acquire a working knowledge of any software applications necessary to the position.

Responsibilities

• Manage AR billing and collection for designated payers.
• Submit insurance claims and process denials.
• Verify eligibility and benefits; monitor balances.
• Post electronic and non-electronic payments.
• Communicate with patients, peers, managers, and payers.
• Perform audits and account status changes.
