Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transportation services. The role requires FAA rotorcraft commercial certificate, instrument rating, and thousands of flight hours.

The position offers a 7/7 schedule, on‑duty housing, a $15,000 sign‑on bonus and retention bonuses, with geo modifiers included in the salary range. You will work with a medical team to transport patients, ensure aircraft readiness, maintain regulatory documentation, and collaborate with dispatch

Qualifications

• Must hold a current FAA rotorcraft commercial certificate.
• Helicopter instrument rating required.
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• Minimum: 2,000 total flight hours.
• At least 1,500 helicopter hours.
• 1,000 helicopter PIC hours.
• 500 turbine helicopter hours.
• Night flight: 100 hours unaided or 50 unaided with 100 hours aided.
• Weight limit of 230 pounds with flight gear.

Responsibilities

• Transport customers with a medical team to and from locations and facilities.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatch per manuals and Air Evac Lifeteam requirements.
• Maintain accurate AEL and regulatory documentation and records.
• Communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Provide shift change information to the next pilot and team following change board protocol.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.
