Job summary

Dermatology and Advanced Skin Care in Colchester, VT, is seeking a part-time aesthetician to perform facial and body skin care procedures, including facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion and dermaplaning, and to consult on skin care products.

You will follow up with clients, educate on home regimens, maintain a clean work area, and document care per office protocols. A Vermont license and accreditation from an aesthetic school are required; 1-2 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of hands-on skin care experience (preferred).
• Must be licensed in the state of Vermont.
• Certified from an Accredited Aesthetic School.
• Excellent communication and patient service.
• Knowledge of skin care products; Skin Ceutical knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform facial and body skin care procedures to enhance appearance and health (facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, extractions).
• Conduct consultations and recommend skin care products.
• Follow up with patients after treatment to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
• Refer to providers when specialized care is needed.
• Educate patients on skincare and home regimens; create customized plans.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and hygienic work area.
• Ensure accurate documentation in patient charts according to office protocols.

• Perform a variety of facial and body procedures intended to increase, improve or maintain the appearance and health of human skin. These are including but not limited to the following: Facials, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion, Dermaplaning and extractions.
• Performing consultations and recommend skin care products.
• Follow up with patients post-treatment to ensure expectations are met and/or exceeded.
• Having knowledge of cosmetic procedures performed in office and make appropriate referrals to our providers.
• Educating patients on skin care and offering custom treatment plans for their individual needs both in the office and a home care regimen as well.
• Maintaining a clean, neat and hygienic work area.
• Ensure accurate documentation in chart according to office protocols.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in person and on the phone.
• Must be friendly, professional and well organized with attention to detail.
• Knowledgeable in different skin care treatments and products.
• Knowledge of Skin Ceutical products is preferred

Job Type

• Part-Time: 15-20 hours a week

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in providing top quality skin care (preferred)

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
