Boulder Community Health is seeking a full-time Medical Administrative Assistant to support primary care clinics. This role involves performing administrative duties, patient education, and managing patient care tasks. $20.36- $30.54an hour - Full-Time Days, 40 hours per week
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Medical Administrative Assistant who will be apart of a centralized team that supports primary care ambulatory clinics with non-encounter-related patient treatment and care under the direction of physicians.

Qualifications
•Graduate from a Medical Assistant program, or
•Colorado LPN license in good standing, or
•Pass a national Medical Assistant Certification exam.
•BLS certification required by the end of conditional period.
Responsibilities
•Performs selected clinical natured administrative duties
•Prepare charts for upcoming patient visits including patient histories, and care gaps through pre-visit prep
•Performs pre-visit outreach for telehealth visits (video and phone)
•Sends in, or Phones in, patient prescriptions following standard protocols and documents accordingly in patient’s chart
•Provides patient education and instruction from provider
•Performs medication prior-authorizations when appropriate
•Follow-up calls to reschedule no show and cancelled patients to ensure opportunity for care is not missed
•Provides lab results, imaging results, and medical advice from the provider to the patient
•Monitors incoming messages to providers for completion or need of escalation to other team members.
•Manages of incoming faxes placing in chart and working or routing to appropriate staff member
•Assist referral team in follow up of referrals for scheduling and closing the loop for the clinic’s orders.
•Manage initial phone triage for clinic department to ensure proper information is gathered and sent to the next level of care team member
•Assists with scheduling of consults, tests, and treatments
•Follows all Joint Commission regulations/standards
•Respond to patient questions via phone or patient portal message
•Places and pends orders for patient care gaps and sends to provider for signature
•Maintains patient files, records, health maintenance, and other information
