Job summary

DeKalb Health is seeking an Account Analyst to support Medicaid reimbursement and cost reporting functions. You will assist in planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining processes to ensure compliance with Virginia Medicaid cost reporting regulations and maximize reimbursements.

The role covers reviewing expenditures, cost report preparation, audit coordination, journal entries, and monthly financial reporting. Strong MS Office skills and experience with Sage Intacct are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business preferred, or 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Sage Intacct or similar GL experience.
• Aptitude for technology and strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Medicaid reimbursement regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides primary support in Medicaid reimbursement issues and cost reporting.
• Review monthly expenditures for ICFs to ensure proper documentation.
• Handle cost report preparation, settlements, and related journal entries.
• Support Medicaid audits, respond to external auditors, and track issues.
• Maintain knowledge of federal/state Medicaid rules and implement compliant practices.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and variances.
