Job summary

Qualifications

• Principles of Accounting: knowledge of GAAP and full accounting cycle.
• Financial Systems: knowledge of automated financial systems and internal controls.
• Analysis and Assessment: uses IT to access, collect, analyze, and disseminate data.
• Oral Communication: clear and convincing presentations; responsive to audience.
• Written Communication: concise, organized writing for intended audience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fiscally responsible access to health care to Medicaid beneficiaries.
• Analyze and review financial data and billing reports to determine Medicaid rates for providers.
• Interact with health care organizations to inform rate setting.
• Establish Alaska Medicaid reimbursement rates guided by statutes and regulations.
• Participate in committee and stakeholder sessions to design rate-setting methodologies.
