Job summary

Elevance Health in California is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to assist in reviewing and analyzing Medicaid rates, developing rate impacts and projections. The role supports the Medicaid Pricing lead and uses actuarial tools to analyze data, update pricing models, and ensure data accuracy across the division.

The position requires a BA/BS and an SOA/CAS exam or equivalent experience. A hybrid work arrangement is available, with in-office presence 1-2 days per week and relocation within commuting

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS degree and to have passed a minimum of one SOA or CAS actuarial exam; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Responsibilities

• Under limited supervision, applies the appropriate actuarial analytical tools to the data and performs preliminary actuarial and statistical analysis.
• Updates actuarial pricing, valuation and forecasting models as directed.
• Refines and collects appropriate data for actuarial analysis and ensures its reasonableness and accuracy by coordination within the division.
