Job summary

The Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) seeks a Government Analyst II to advance Florida's Medicaid quality initiatives. The role supports data-driven analysis, program coordination, and policy impact assessments in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

You will prepare briefing materials, track deliverables, research regulations, and provide recommendations to leadership while ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems and prepare reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for briefings and policy documents.
• Experience with research and fact-finding to inform program improvements.
• Ability to coordinate projects, track deliverables, and work with diverse teams.
• Knowledge of health care policy, Medicaid, and regulatory frameworks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare briefing materials, decision memos, presentations, and summaries for leadership.
• Track deadlines and deliverables across bureau units and oversight entities.
• Develop and maintain project plans and issue logs.
• Monitor progress toward goals and elevate risks to leadership.
• Ensure materials comply with policy and style guidelines.
