Job summary

The State of Washington Attorney General's Office is seeking a permanent full-time Legal Office Assistant in the Medicaid Fraud & Abuse Division, located in Olympia, WA. The position is represented by WFSE and offers a salary range of $43,836 to $58,392 annually, with potential stipends for dual language requirements.

The role supports administrative and legal tasks, travel, records management, and CMS case handling, with a commitment to work-life balance and professional development

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of clerical experience, including 6 months in a legal office.
• Option 2: 1 year of legal office experience.
• Option 3: A combination of two years of college education and/or relevant experience.
• Option 4: A two-year degree in Legal Secretary Studies, Paralegal studies or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the MFAD and work with the GOM and other staff.
• Manage office inventory, restock materials, and handle calls and copiers.
• File documents with courts, obtain attorney signatures, and manage CMS case records.
• Assist travel and expense processing and maintain accurate records.
• Support records management, reporting tasks, and other duties as assigned.
