Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking a Fiscal Compliance-Special Projects Administrator within Special Education Services. The role provides leadership over Medicaid administrative claiming, cost reporting, and related fiscal projects to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

The position requires 3 years of relevant experience and knowledge of Medicaid reporting, Oracle BAAS, and government accounting principles.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in Special Education, Finance, or related field; experience with financial reporting.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license per NC requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of Oracle and BAAS financial applications; experience with Medicaid reporting.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates Medicaid billing processes and reporting with the billing agency.
• Monitors RMTS compliance and ensures timely completion by staff.
• Oversees fee-for-service, cost reporting, and Medicaid administrative claiming revenues.
• Gathers data and submits reports for Federal Personnel Survey.
• Collaborates with SES and other Wake County departments on Nursing-related processes.
• Provides training and oversight on Medicaid, special grants, and contract processes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
