Job summary

ICL is seeking a Medicaid Liaison Coordinator in New York to support Entitlements Services within the Clients’ Representative Unit. You will handle cases, maintain accurate records, and assist in navigating Medicaid and related programs.

Daily duties include preparing case materials, following up with Medicaid offices, and providing counseling to residents and clinical staff. This role emphasizes compliance, collaboration with multiple departments, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years’ experience in social/human services, entitlement or related area.
• Experience with Medicaid/Managed Care guidelines is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to multitask and manage complex case records.

Responsibilities

• Represents Medicaid consumers in Clients’ Representative Unit per protocol.
• Assists Entitlements Specialists in preparing Medicaid cases for processing.
• Follows up on Medicaid cases by phone or in-person until resolved.
• Researches Medicaid rules and regulations and communicates updates to the Entitlements Department.
• Supports enrollment into Behavioral Health Managed Care Organizations, MSP, and Medicaid Buy‑in programs.
• Attends by-monthly Medicaid Citywide meetings and trainings.
• Prepares presentations for consumers and clinical staff.
