Job summary

Alsos Behavioral Health is seeking a Patient Financial Advocate at the PLIT location to secure and maintain verified patient coverage and collect valid patient responsibility through accurate financial counseling and follow-through.

You will work directly with patients, help complete Medicaid enrollment work, and coordinate with the Revenue Cycle team to resolve unresolved cases and ensure timely handoffs.

Qualifications

• Prior hands-on Medicaid enrollment experience is required.
• General customer service, provider credentialing or billing experience alone is not sufficient.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile census and verified coverage with Admissions and UR; identify uninsured patients.
• Explain the appropriate application or renewal pathway; obtain required information.
• Complete Medicaid enrollment submissions and track status to resolution.
• Provide documented handoffs to Revenue Cycle with coverage evidence.
• Explain benefits and patient responsibility in clear terms; coordinate payment options.
• Record payments in approved systems; escalate discrepancies as needed.
• Work onsite at PLIT; support Medicaid enrollment and patient collections.
