Job summary

Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation in New Hyde Park, NY, is seeking an organized Medicaid Specialist to join our Finance team. This full-time role supports the Medicaid process from initial interview through approval, with a standard schedule of 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday.

Reporting to the Medicaid Manager, you will determine residents’ eligibility, explain requirements to families, and submit applications to the appropriate agencies.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Medicaid process from resident/family interview to application submission.
• Determine resident eligibility for Medicaid approval.
• Provide eligibility and document requirements to residents and families.
• Submit Medicaid applications on behalf of residents.
