Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a on-site Eligibility Specialist at Methodist - South Hospital in Memphis, TN. You will interview uninsured or under-insured patients to determine Medicaid eligibility and assist with the application process to facilitate accurate submissions.

Join a team focused on accuracy, timely billing, and collaboration with Medicaid caseworkers and other revenue cycle departments. CRCR certification within 9 months of hire is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in healthcare interacting with patients on financial issues.
• Knowledge of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments and denials.
• Knowledge of patient insurance processes for authorizations and benefits verification.
• Knowledge of health insurance requirements and CPT/procedure codes.
• Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance and call center experience preferred.
• CRCR certification within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Interview uninsured/under-insured patients to determine Medicaid eligibility.
• Assist with applications to facilitate submissions and follow-up for timely billing.
• Communicate with patients to obtain required documents for applications.
• Update insurance information and ensure timely posting of billing/adjustments.
• Document actions and communications in patient accounting systems.
• Maintain knowledge of state and federal program requirements and collaborate with partners.
