Job summary

University Health in Kansas City, MO seeks an Integrated Programs Coordinator to determine MO Healthnet eligibility for UH FCC staff applications and load approved insurance in the UH system. You will interview patients, gather data, and communicate health benefit regulations to patients and hospital staff.

Funding is grant-based; duties require strong communication, empathy, and the ability to multi-task in a busy environment while independently using multiple systems for eligibility

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet state Missouri employment requirements for all persons contracted to do work with Department of Social Services including fingerprinting.
• Complete 6-8 week Family Support Division training related to application processing.
• Concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interview patients and families and to exchange information with hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Determine and verify eligibility for MO Healthnet for applications completed by UH FCC staff.
• Gather necessary documentation and assess income/assets to determine eligibility.
• Load insurance in the UH system as patients are approved.
• Serve as a front-line representative by obtaining demographic and financial data.
• Communicate health benefit regulations and patient financial obligations to responsible parties.
