Responsibilities

• Obtain detailed personal, financial and asset information to determine Medicaid/SSI eligibility.
• Explain programs and advise patients on ways to become eligible by arranging finances.
• Follow up with applicants to collect complete information within timeframes.
• Review denials and research denial information with patients to pursue reversals.
• Prepare appeals and represent UNC Health Care in hearings.
