Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree plus three years of professional experience or six years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Verbal and written communication skills; ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and investigate assigned appeals to determine policy compliance.
  • Draft and assemble documents including appeals memoranda, summaries of evidence, and agency reversals.
  • Notify staff and appellants via emails and letters; ensure documentation is uploaded to Electronic Case Records and SharePoint.
  • Monitor cases for corrective actions and communicate required steps to field staff.
  • Attend hearings and cover for absent employees; stay current with Medicaid policies and procedures.
