Job summary

Gainwell Technologies LLC seeks a Medical Claims Recovery Specialist to manage casualty and estate functions for Medicaid beneficiaries. Responsibilities include intake, review, settlement, and case management of 700–1,000 subrogation cases with HIPAA compliance and meticulous documentation.

You will interact with attorneys, adjusters, providers, and clients, ensuring timely resolutions while meeting service targets.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant professional experience in subrogation, claims, or case management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; basic knowledge of Microsoft Access is preferred.
• Experience in a legal or insurance office setting (paralegal, legal assistant, casualty, or health insurance experience preferred).
• Familiarity with Medicaid and/or Medicare programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle intake, maintenance, and review of subrogation cases.
• Communicate with attorneys, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and clients.
• Prepare and manage correspondence, liens, claims, and related documents.
• Meet departmental goals for customer service, settlements, and case handling standards.
• Verify beneficiary eligibility and document case status and recovery potential.
• Negotiate and finalize claim or lien settlements according to guidelines.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to HIPAA and security requirements.
