Job summary

Southern Healthcare Management, a family of 44 skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers across Florida, Georgia and North Carolina, is seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Billing Specialist for our Corporate Finance team in Casselberry, Florida. You will review refunds, post adjustments in PointClickCare, handle bad debt, and support facility staff with payer aging and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a fast-paced healthcare billing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare billing, patient accounts, accounts receivable, or long-term care finance preferred.
• Working knowledge of PointClickCare is highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Review and process facility refund requests according to policies.
• Verify and enter account adjustment requests into PointClickCare.
• Process bad debt postings and reimbursable bad debt.
• Credentialing/Recredentialing of Insurance Providers.
• Conduct Patient Trust reconciliation audits.
• Review and process adjustments for various clearing accounts.
• Prepare financial reports as needed.
• Review payer aging reports weekly and identify discrepancies.
• Provide support to corporate, regional, and facility staff on PointClickCare processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

• Two (2) years’ college or technical school or equivalent work experience.
• Four to six years experience in long term care or health care.
• Must be knowledgeable of medical terminology, third party guidelines, reimbursement practices, and available financial resources for the funding of long-term care.
• Computer efficient
• Ability to travel
