Job summary

Myers and Stauffer LC is seeking an experienced auditor to join our health care audit team in the United States. The role focuses on Medicaid provider cost reports, financial analysis, reimbursement calculations, and detailed documentation in line with government regulations and AICPA standards.

The candidate will conduct desk reviews and on-site audits, review federal/state policies, and prepare working papers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High accuracy with attention to detail and organization.
• Experience with health care auditing and data analysis.
• Ability to travel based on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform reviews of Medicaid provider cost reports.
• Analyze health care provider financial information.
• Perform reimbursement calculations.
• Prepare written documents supporting professional decisions.
• Conduct desk reviews and on-site audits.
• Review applicable Federal and State policies and regulations associated with each audit type prior to performing the audit.
• Prepare working papers documenting scope and findings of audit in accordance with Medicaid or other government program regulations and AICPA standards.
• Demonstrate excellence in communication, data gathering, analysis, and process improvement.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of all protected health information when analyzing material.
• Maintain thorough electronic documentation.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
