About the Position

Position (K0244540) – Litigation support within Kansas Medicaid program. The role handles administrative litigation involving Medicaid eligibility and provider matters, including discovery requests and settlement agreements. It also manages any judicial litigation arising from the administrative casework.

Position Summary & Responsibilities

• Review and prepare documents related to Medicaid regulations, statutes, policies, and communications, from simple to moderately complex matters.
• Assist attorneys in developing or reviewing contracts, memorandums of understanding, and agreements on Medicaid matters.
• Conduct research on Medicaid topics and draft advice for the Medicaid program.

Compensation

• Hourly Pay Range: $80,000.00 – $88,000.00 (may vary based on education, experience, or qualifications)

Qualifications

• Education: Juris Doctor degree
• Licensing & Certification: Licensed to practice law in Kansas; valid driver’s license required when operating a state or private vehicle for state duties
• Minimum Qualifications: JD, admission to practice in Kansas
• Preferred Qualifications: Six months to two years of legal experience in state administrative or judicial matters; proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access; strong proofreading, editing, and attention to detail skills
