Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Medicaid Specialist to support the Business Development Team with Medicaid applications for residents in long-term care facilities.

Responsibilities include collecting documents, completing supplemental forms, and submitting applications. The role requires attention to detail, strong organization, and proficiency with computers. Travel may be required and a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance are needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Medicaid application/renewal process for LTC facilities.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Well organized and able to multitask.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to travel with valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Review referrals and Medicaid questionnaires to determine eligibility for Medicaid.
• Assist in completing applications and collecting supporting documentation.
• Communicate with residents and/or family members about the process and required documents.
• Maintain tracking system for all Medicaid Pending residents to approval and monitor the process.
• Attend daily census calls with assigned facilities and report delays or denials to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with state laws and the Organization's Compliance Plan and Code of Ethics.
