Responsibilities

• Supervises Medicaid Analysts to ensure accurate, timely processing of applications, renewals, and beneficiary assistance.
• Monitors unit workflow, productivity, and quality to meet state, regional, and national goals.
• Ensures staff compliance with Medicaid policies, procedures, regulations, and CMS requirements.
• Conducts mandatory case reviews, investigates discrepancies, and takes corrective action to improve program compliance.
• Interviews applicants and recipients regarding fair hearing rights and potential adjustments.
• Manages staff evaluations, onboarding, offboarding, and staffing to ensure coverage.
• Prepares statistical reports and responds to Privacy Act/FOIA requests while identifying potential fraud, waste, or abuse.

• Six years of social services experience; OR
• Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of social services experience; OR
• A bachelor's degree plus three years of social services experience; OR
• An advanced degree plus two years of social services experience.

Experience Substitution

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties

• Supervises and provides guidance to Medicaid Analysts to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality processing of applications, renewals, and beneficiary assistance.
• Monitors unit workflow, case distribution, productivity, and quality to ensure established state, regional, and national goals are met.
• Ensures staff compliance with Medicaid policies, procedures, regulations, and CMS requirements related to eligibility processing and case reviews.
• Conducts mandatory case reviews, investigates discrepancies and complaints, and takes corrective action to address errors and improve program compliance.
• Interviews applicants, recipients, and complainants regarding fair hearing rights, case concerns, and potential adjustments.
• Conducts staff evaluations and oversees employee onboarding, off boarding, leave management, and staffing needs to maintain adequate coverage for beneficiaries.
• Prepares required statistical reports and responds to Privacy Act and Freedom of Information Act requests while identifying and reporting potential fraud, waste, or abuse.
