Job summary

Fox Subacute Philadelphia is seeking a detail-oriented Medicaid Specialist to support admissions and reimbursement processes. You will assist residents and families with Medicaid applications, renewals, and eligibility verification, and support private pay collections and admissions documentation.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and an excellent communicator who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Prior experience in Medicaid is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Excellent customer service, phone etiquette, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Assist residents, families, or representatives with Medicaid applications and renewals.
• Collect, review, and organize required documentation (income, identification, residency, medical records, etc.).
• Verify Medicaid eligibility and coverage status.
• Communicate with state Medicaid agencies regarding application status, updates, or corrections.
• Track deadlines and follow up on pending applications or missing documentation.
• Educate residents and families on Medicaid benefits, coverage limits, and renewal requirements.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with HIPAA and privacy regulations.
• Support healthcare staff, social workers, and case managers with Medicaid-related tasks.
• Assist and obtain private pay collections weekly.
• Support admissions by filing and assisting with documentation.
• Stay informed on changes in Medicaid policies and eligibility rules.
