Job summary

WNYT/NBC Media, a Hubbard Broadcasting station serving New York’s Capital Region, seeks a motivated Sales Associate. This development role leads to a full Account Executive position, pairing you with veterans to master multi-media selling, digital marketing, and client strategy.

You will build an advertiser pipeline, learn CRM workflows, and contribute to campaigns across TV, digital, and social channels, with ongoing sales training and certifications.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in sales, marketing, advertising, business development, or digital media.
• Excellent written and oral English language communication skills.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, eager to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and identify new business opportunities through networking, referrals, social media, research, and outbound outreach.
• Generate and maintain an active pipeline of prospective advertisers and business opportunities.
• Conduct outbound prospecting through phone, email, social media, networking, and in-person outreach.
• Build relationships with local business owners and decision-makers across the Capital Region.
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand client goals and marketing objectives.
• Assist in developing and presenting customized advertising and marketing recommendations.
• Participate in new business development initiatives and community networking events.
