Job summary

Aquila Technology is seeking a Media Production Specialist to join its team supporting a premier defense research organization. You will create multimedia content for training, documentation, and communications, collaborating with teams to produce videos, graphics, websites, and other digital media from concept to delivery.

  • Create training materials in various media formats

  • Support user community to ensure tools are used effectively
  • Develop and maintain communication with PLM users and development team
  • Feed back user comments to development team

About the Role

Aquila Technology is seeking a Media Production Specialist to join its team in support of one of the nation’s premier defense research organizations. In this role, you will create multimedia content for training, documentation, and communications. You will collaborate with teams to produce videos, graphics, websites, and other digital media from concept to final delivery. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail‑oriented professional with strong multimedia production skills.

Must Have
  • 10 years Prepare and Produce Electronic Media
  • 10 years Presentation Design, Poster Design, Document Design, Technical Illustrations, and Photo Manipulation
  • 10 years Delivering training content to stakeholders/users
  • 3 years Experience creating training materials on Aras Innovator software
  • 3 years Experience working within prototyping environments
  • 3 years Familiarity w/R&D/STEM content
  • 10 years Hands‑on experience working with audiovisual media and hardware
  • 10 years Maintains training documents, training data and training environments
  • 3 years Training staff on how to use the ARAS Innovator software
  • 10 years Work with stakeholders to create training strategy and validate training content

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Create training materials in various media formats
  • Identifies training needs and priorities
  • Works closely with the engineering and fabrication community to develop outreach programs
  • Works with the design, process and end user SME’s to validate content development
  • Consults with program teams as needed for feedback
  • Maintains training documents
  • Maintains training data and environment
  • Supports the user community to ensure the tools are being used effectively
  • Develops and maintains communication channels with PLM users and development team
  • Feeds back user comments and ideas to the development team
  • Maintains a detailed knowledge of support required by users for a primary functional area and provides support for other functional business areas.
  • Stays abreast of and shares system best practices and feature enhancements to promote continuous improvement
Required Skills
  • Minimum of 10 years of applicable work experience
  • Training staff on the ARAS Innovator Product Lifecycle Management software
  • Experience creating training materials on Aras Innovator software
  • Experience working within prototyping environments
  • Strong understanding of engineering workflows
  • Experience in software implementation and operational support
  • Ensures training requirements are met by monitoring available metrics and collecting feedback.
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office 365 to include Sharepoint organization and site design
  • Excellent presentation and meeting facilitation skills
  • Experience developing and presenting training or technical briefings to various audiences
  • Self‑starter / self‑motivated, capable of staying on track and pursuing solutions without supervision
  • Training or customer demonstration experience (preferable PLM or ERP specifically)
  • Has a flexible approach to change, is able to work effectively in a variety of situations, constantly seeks improvements and is forward looking
  • Skills in building consensus among stakeholders and colleagues
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project management and collaboration skills to succeed in matrixed environment
  • Experience in design, engineering, or manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following disciplines is a plus: Information Systems Management, Communications, Engineering Management, Business Administration, Engineering related field
  • Use of standard business tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Office Suite, Wikis.

Tuition & Training Reimbursement – 5K annually for pre‑approved, Eligible full‑time team members who have completed a minimum of six (6) months of employment may apply for tuition reimbursement for approved, job‑related courses taken through an accredited college or university. Team members must achieve a grade of “B” or better to qualify for reimbursement. Aquila will reimburse up to $5,000 per fiscal year for tuition expenses only. Expenses related to training programs, certifications, books, materials, meals, transportation, or other non‑tuition costs are not eligible under the Tuition Reimbursement Program. All tuition reimbursement requests must be submitted to and approved by the team member’s Manager prior to course registration. Reimbursement will be issued upon successful course completion and submission of final grades and proof of payment.

401K with Fidelity

Eligible to participate following 90 days of employment. Company match on employee contribution: $1/$1 up to 3%, then .50 cents / $1 for 4th and 5th %s. Fully vested from day one. Company match does not apply to catch‑up contribution.

Cell Phone & Internet Reimbursed

up to $150 monthly to cover cell phone, data, and home internet expenses. Aquila Technology will reimburse team members who work from home ONLY for cell phone/mobile device fees for work‑related communications and/or operations each month. Employees eligible for this benefit must work remote 2 days a week or more to qualify.

Buy Your Own Device (BYOD)

Team members are eligible for reimbursement of up to $1,500 every three (3) years for the purchase of electronic equipment used to access corporate services. To qualify for this benefit, employees must have completed a minimum of six (6) months of employment and must agree to and sign the Device Minimum Configuration Form prior to reimbursement. Electronic devices eligible under the Buy Your Own Device (BYOD) program are limited to cell phones, laptops, and tablets.

Work Location

Hybrid. Minimum of 2 days onsite; 3 days remote – Lexington, Ma.

Clearance Level

We will consider candidates with the ability to obtain interim clearance. Must be a US Citizen to be considered.
