Job summary

Giant Pictures in Los Angeles seeks a seasoned media operations specialist to manage end-to-end delivery workflows, from ingest to final delivery. You will use Telestream Switch and related tools to assemble, encode, and QC assets, ensuring strict platform compliance and accurate metadata.

You will pre-qualify assets, troubleshoot encoding issues, and generate clear QC reports for clients and platforms, maintaining precise documentation and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting end-to-end media workflows from ingest to delivery.
• Working knowledge of professional video/audio standards and formats.
• Familiarity with high-performance file transfer systems (Aspera/Signiant).
• Proficiency with major editing/transcoding tools listed above.

Responsibilities

• Packaging and delivery using Switch, Compressor, and similar tools.
• Ingest and register source media, artwork, and metadata with file integrity checks.
• Pre-qualify assets against platform specs and document findings.
• Encode and transcode, troubleshoot failures, ensure specs compliance.
• Perform QC and write timecoded reports; track issues to resolution.
• Review content for standards and create compliant versions as needed.
• Conform captions/subtitles and artwork to masters and specs.
• Create mezzanines and alternate versions; perform edits and re-renders.
• Build and verify title metadata against platform schemas.
