Requirement: 7+ years of omnichannel marketing with deep experience in media strategy, planning, and buying and cross channel tactical campaign management —preferably within an agency environment. Onsite role in Fort Worth, TX

The Director of Media will serve as the strategic and operational leader of omnichannel media function, responsible for driving innovation, excellence, and growth across all media channels, including digital and traditional. This individual will define and evolve our media vision, integrating people, platforms, and processes to deliver measurable business outcomes for clients.

The Director of Media will be accountable for elevating the agency's media services offering to match the growing complexity and expectations of our client base. They will shape the structure, workflows, and talent strategies to ensure our team delivers exceptional work that drives performance, profitability, and client satisfaction.

The Director of Media leads all facets of media offering— digital, paid, organic, traditional, strategy, execution, and performance analytics. You’ll lead and mentor a growing team, build and refine processes, manage vendor relationships, and ensure we are leveraging tools and partners effectively.

This is a transformation-era role. You’ll join at a time when we are rethinking our approach—investing in smarter systems, refining our media services model, and expanding our external partnerships. You’ll be a strategic voice in that evolution, driving omnichannel thought leadership and operational execution hand-in-hand.

You’ll be responsible for unifying this team, building buy-in across levels, and quickly establishing cohesion and effectiveness during a time of operational change.

You will partner heavily with:

• The Digital team

• Creative and Production teams

• Vendors/service providers and freelancers

What Success Looks Like

• You confidently lead strategy and execution across all major omnichannel plans and tactics, bringing proactive insights that help clients grow

• You effectively collaborate with internal teams to achieve successful outcomes for both agency and clients

• You unify and motivate a multi-level team, even amidst ambiguity or change

• You mentor and coach junior team members, developing their confidence, competence, and business acumen. You help build a more scalable and flexible integrated media department, incorporating new tools, platforms, and outsourced resources where appropriate

• You are a trusted, persuasive voice both inside the agency and with clients—able to inspire action and foster alignment

• You operate with urgency, clarity, and steadiness in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Must-Haves

• 7+ years in omnichannel marketing with deep experience in media strategy, planning, and buying and cross channel tactical campaign management —preferably within an agency environment

• Proven success leading and mentoring high-performing teams through periods of transformation

• Experience managing both in-house and outsourced/external resources

• Demonstrated ability to unify teams, earn buy-in from direct reports, partners, and peers, and quickly establish cohesion in times of transformation

• Experience managing media team members across levels (specialists, coordinators, analysts, and associate directors)

• Familiarity with strategic project management and a strong operational mindset

• Expertise across the full digital media mix—programmatic, paid search, paid social, SEO, email/inbound, and analytics

• Demonstrated experience or current certifications in media planning, buying and analytics platforms

• Strong presentation and communication skills—must be articulate, confident, and credible in client conversations

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Leadership

• Serve as lead voice in omnichannel media strategy across accounts

• Develop full-funnel plans that align to client KPIs, goals, and buyer journeys

• Keep a pulse on the industry and bring forward ideas to keep the agency at the forefront

• Shape and evolve team structure, resourcing models, and processes to support scale

• Lead third-party partner selection, negotiation, and relationship management

Team Building & Talent Development

• Immediately establish credibility, cohesion, and alignment within a growing team of cross-functional media professionals

• Unify and motivate your team during a period of change, earning trust and buy-in through clarity, accountability, and empathy

• Actively coach, mentor, and grow team members’ capabilities and confidence

• Conduct regular check-ins, reviews, and development planning sessions

• Foster a strong, collaborative team environment that thrives during transformation

• Collaborate with account and project teams to shape media solutions

• Ensure initiatives are on-time, on-budget, and on-strategy

• Present agency's POV confidently to clients and internal stakeholders

• Drive results and seek optimization opportunities based on performance insights

• Collaborate with account and production leads to estimate media related budgets

• Identify growth opportunities and support account profitability

• Maintain awareness of portfolio financial health and guide decision-making accordingly
