Job summary

Bay Area Church and Christian School in League City, TX seeks a Media Content Creator to capture and craft compelling media for worship services, events, and ministry activities. You will photograph and videograph, edit content with Adobe Creative Suite, manage archives, and develop engaging social media content across platforms.

Collaboration with staff and volunteers is essential, including weekend events. A strong eye for storytelling and brand consistency is required.

Qualifications

  • A degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong skills in photography, videography, and editing (experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools).
  • Familiarity with social media management platforms (Meta Business Suite, Later, Buffer, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
  • Weekend and occasional evening availability for events and services.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and demonstrate active cooperation on a campus that shares facilities with a Christian School of 900+ students, including a cooperative spirit with supervisors, department team members, co-workers, volunteers, and contractors

Responsibilities

  • Photograph and videograph worship services, events, baptisms, and ministry activities.
  • Edit and organize media content for use across digital platforms and promotional materials.
  • Manage and maintain photo/video archives for easy access and reuse.
  • Create highlight reels, testimonial videos, and ministry spotlights reflecting the heart and mission of the church.
  • Develop and schedule engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and foster online community interaction.
  • Promote upcoming events, sermon series, and outreach initiatives with ministry leaders.
  • Track analytics and provide insights for improving reach and engagement.
  • Collaborate with staff to brainstorm and implement creative storytelling ideas.
  • Ensure visual consistency and brand integrity across all digital and print materials.
  • Assist with website updates, e-newsletters, and digital signage (as needed)

Major Responsibilities
  • Photography & Videography:
    • Capture high-quality photos and videos at worship services, events, baptisms, and ministry activities
    • Edit and organize media content for use across digital platforms and promotional materials

    • Develop and schedule engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)

Preferred Experience
  • 1-3 years of previous experience in church communications, media, or a related creative field
  • Knowledge of graphic design, social media platforms, websites, and communication and marketing strategies
  • Experience with a variety of creative, design, and video software
  • Knowledge of lighting, sound, and live production is a plus
  • Proficiency in photo and video color grading, lighting setups, and sound recording
  • Experience coordinating volunteers or serving on a creative/media team

  • Must be able to remain stationary and move around while teaching or presenting
  • Must be able to regularly remain stationary at the computer, requiring repetitive finger movements and manual dexterity
  • Must possess the ability to observe details at close range required for viewing a computer monitor, preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and reading
  • Must possess the ability to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction; possess the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make discriminations in sound
  • Must possess the ability to express ideas using the spoken word to convey instructions to stakeholders accurately, loudly, and/or quickly
  • Activities occur inside and outside, and the worker is subject to both environmental conditions
