Job description

Overview

Superior Ambulance Service and Illinois Medi-Car have immediate openings for full-time drivers to transport wheelchair-bound individuals to healthcare facilities, hospitals, testing laboratories, etc.

Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities of an IMC Driver include, but are not limited to:

1. Demonstrating adequate skills required of a Medi-Car Driver, including moving a wheelchair up and down stairs and in and out of the Medi-Car.
2. Providing appropriate patient care as per training.
3. Ensuring safe transportation by accurately reading maps, recognizing house numbers and addresses efficiently.
4. Providing proper documentation for billing purposes.
5. Maintaining vehicle cleanliness, monitoring fluid levels and gauges, and reporting mechanical issues immediately.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Successful completion of the company's required lifting test, map test, and interview process.
3. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
4. Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, capable of operating a vehicle safely in various conditions, including day, night, and inclement weather.

Salary Range

USD $17.00 - USD $21.00 per hour, rates based on experience and full-time scheduled templates.
