Overview

Illinois Medi-Car has immediate openings for full-time drivers to transport wheelchair-bound individuals to healthcare facilities, hospitals, testing laboratories, etc.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift starting at 11:00 A.M.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate skill in all areas required of a Medi-Car Driver, including moving a wheelchair up and down stairs, in and out of the Medi-Car.
• Provide appropriate patient care as per training.
• Ensure safe transportation by accurately reading maps, recognizing house numbers and addresses, and navigating efficiently.
• Maintain accurate billing documentation.
• Keep the vehicle sanitary, monitor fluid levels, and report mechanical issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Pass the company's lifting test, map test, and interview process.
• Effective communication and writing skills in English.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, able to operate vehicle safely in various conditions.
