Job summary

Med-Trans Corporation seeks a Helicopter Pilot to provide critical medical air transport from Amarillo, TX. This full-time role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance and coordinated teamwork with medical staff.

You’ll ensure aircraft readiness, manage flight dispatch duties, and maintain accurate regulatory documentation. A 7/7 schedule is offered along with competitive incentives and retention bonuses.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Transport patients with medical teams to/from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches per manuals and Med-Trans requirements
• Maintain Med-Trans and regulatory documentation and records
• Communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift-change information following Med-Trans change board protocol
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training

Job Description

We’re hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transportation services to Med-Trans customers. Safety is a key pillar of our services.

Pilot Incentives

• $102,072 - $112,280 including 15% Geographic Modifier
• 15K Sign on Bonus, subject to eligibility
• Retention Bonus Plans ($40,000 after 3 years, plus additional retention bonuses once completed)
• 7/7 Schedule

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and Med-Trans requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate Med-Trans and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Med-Trans change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training

MinimumRequirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
• Helicopter instrument rating
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours
• 500 Turbine Helicopter Hours
• 200 Helicopter Night Flight Hours (Aided or Unaided)

Preferred Qualifications

• EC135 Aircraft Experience
• High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher
