Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Microbiology Medical Technologist to perform technical procedures in alignment with CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, AABB and OSHA standards. The role supports testing for patients of all ages in a high-throughput setting within the two-hospital system.

You will maintain proficiency, interpret results, and contribute to accurate and timely diagnoses while working in a dynamic environment with ongoing procedural training and quality assurance initiatives.

Qualifications

• The Microbiology Medical Technologist will perform technical procedures in accordance with CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, AABB and OSHA standards.
• Testing for patients across all ages with varying clinical conditions and acuity levels.
• Ability to work in a productive two-h hospital system and assess specimen quality.

The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time).

Pay Range: $37.00 - $37.00

Position Overview

The Microbiology Medical Technologist performs all technical procedures in accordance with all standards set by applicable regulatory agencies including CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, AABB and OSHA. Maintains knowledge of all procedures and protocols. Maintains proficiency in performance of technical procedures. Testing is provided for patients with varying degrees of clinical conditions and different acuity levels. Testing is provided for all age ranges from newborns to geriatric patients. Ability to work in a highly productive department serving a two hospital system. Make independent decisions quickly and accurately. Consistently performs multiple technical tasks and assignments independently. Ability to assess specimen quality and the validity of test results. Reliable and Dependable Team Player.
