Job summary

Vibrant Life Senior Living in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a compassionate Med Tech / Med Passer to lead care teams and ensure residents receive exceptional care. You will administer medications, monitor conditions, and support daily care tasks in a dynamic assisted living environment.

This role requires a High school diploma or GED, with experience in caregiving or medication administration preferred. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain is required, and weekend/holiday availability

• Prior caregiving, medication administration, or dementia care experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Administer medications safely, accurately, and on time per resident care plans.
• Monitor and document changes in resident condition or behavior.
• Support Resident Assistants with daily care tasks (personal care, dining, activities).
• Lead the lodge in supervisor's absence, foster teamwork and problem-solving.
• Train and mentor care staff in daily duties and responsibilities.
• Perform room checks, rounds, and monitor resident well-being.
• Handle specimen collection and assist lab technicians, maintain records.
• Promote resident independence, dignity, and engagement in activities.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with light housekeeping and daily community upkeep for a welcoming environment.
• Attend trainings and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.

• Promote resident independence, dignity, and engagement in meaningful activities.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold HIPAA and community care standards.
• Assist with light housekeeping and daily community upkeep to maintain a welcoming, tour-ready environment.
• Attend required trainings and maintain certifications such as CPR and First Aid.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in caregiving, medication administration, or dementia care preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, and positive attitude with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Physical Requirements

• Frequent bending, lifting, and walking.
• Ability to safely assist residents with transfers, toileting, and mobility.
• Pushing wheelchairs, carts, and other equipment as needed.
