Job summary

Cranberry Park Senior Living Facility in West Bloomfield is seeking a Med Tech to assist residents with daily living activities and administer medications per physicians’ orders. The role emphasizes safety, infection control, and teamwork in a senior care setting.

Training and orientation are provided, with room for growth and paid time off from day one. Ideal candidates will have experience with medication administration, a high school diploma or GED, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Experience in medication administration and working with seniors.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation.
• Availability to work every other weekend is required.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Administering medications and injections to residents based on physicians’ orders recorded in medical charts
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Monitoring for changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor
• Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
• Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately
• Utilizing good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety
• Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary
• Responding to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
