Job summary

The Gilbert Residence in Michigan is seeking a Med Tech to provide direct, primary care to residents and supervise the care provided by resident assistants during a designated shift. The role collaborates with department managers to keep Assisted Living and Memory Care units running smoothly.

Responsibilities include assessments with the care team, accurate documentation, admissions/discharges support, rounds with physicians, and ensuring privacy and quality education for residents and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Med passing experience required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with resident care.
• Reliable and available every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Meet with the interdisciplinary care team to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate residents' care.
• Document resident activities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge of residents.
• Make rounds with physician and other team members as needed.
• Participate in developing, implementing and revising resident service plans.
• Communicate and coordinate care with residents and their families.
• Administer treatments and other direct care, including medications as prescribed.
• Order or arrange for ordering of pharmaceuticals.
• Provide education and instruction to resident families and staff as needed.
