Job summary

Kisco Senior Living is seeking a part-time Medication Tech / CNA for The Cardinal at North Hills. The role supports resident independence and well-being, with first and second shift coverage.

Qualified candidates hold NC CNA certification or MT license; compensation ranges from $18–$23 per hour depending on certification and role. Paid training and comprehensive benefits are available for full-time staff where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification (NC) and be licensed in North Carolina.
• Medication Technician certification preferred; company will certify after 90 days.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to observe, document, and report changes in residents.

Responsibilities

• Observe residents for changes in condition and report to supervisor.
• Assist residents with simple requests as needed.
• Document and report changes in condition.
• Provide medication setup and assistance.
• Log medications from pharmacies and verify orders.
• Track all medications and re-order as needed.
• Monitor vital signs and assist with diabetic testing or injections.

Job description

The Medication Tech / CNA @ The Cardinal at North Hills is responsible for the delivery of quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident's physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being.

Medication Technician Must have a CNA certification

Part Time (1st & 2nd shift)

Pay Range $18/hr - $20+/hr (CNA)

Pay Range $21/hr - $23 +/hr (MT/CNA Combo)

CNA: must be licensed in North Carolina verifiable through online registry

MT: must be a licensed Medication Aide verifiable through online registry

Must be able to provide certificate of completion of 10-hour and 5-hour or 15-hour Medication Technician Certification course (we will certify after 90 days of solid employment)

What will I do every day as a MT?

• Observe residents for any changes in condition and report to supervisor
• Assist residents with simple requests as needed
• Document and report changes of condition
• Provide medication set up and assistance
• Log in medications from pharmacies, verify physician's orders and communicate any concerns
• Track all medications and re-order as needed
• Track residence vital signs, diabetic testing and/or insulin injection, ambulation, etc.

What will I need to be successful in this role?

• Have a completed a Nursing Assistant course (State approved, if required)

Special Requirements/Certifications I may need?

• Must be 21 years of age (or meet state requirements)
• Have current First Aid and CPR certification
• Have completed the required training, and/or certification (according to state) for assisting with medications
• CNA if required by state
