Job summary

The Village at Brookwood is seeking a compassionate Med Tech/CNA to join our Assisted Living team in Burlington, NC. This is a full-time 1st shift position (7:00 AM–3:00 PM) with every other weekend and a comprehensive benefits package.

You’ll administer medications, document care, support daily living activities, and work closely with nurses to provide outstanding resident care in a small, stable community. Join a welcoming team that values continuing education and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently holds NC CNA certification and is listed on the NC Nurse Aide Registry.
• Has completed an approved Adult Care Home Medication Aide/Med Tech program.
• Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Is compassionate, dependable and resident-focused.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications according to physician orders and policies.
• Document medication administration in the EMR accurately.
• Monitor residents and report changes to the nurse.
• Assist with medication reorders as needed.
• Respond to resident calls and requests promptly.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Document resident care and participate in care planning.
• Collaborate with nurses and team to provide quality care.

What You'll Do

• Administer medications according to physician orders and community policies
• Accurately document medication administration in the electronic medical record
• Monitor residents and report changes in condition to the nurse
• Assist with medication reorders as needed
• Respond promptly to resident call lights and resident requests
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Document resident care and services provided
• Participate in resident-centered care planning
• Work collaboratively with nurses and other team members to provide exceptional resident care

What We're Looking For

• Current North Carolina CNA certification and active listing on the NC Nurse Aide Registry
• Successful completion of an approved Adult Care Home Medication Aide/Med Tech training program
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
