Job summary

The Palmettos of Charleston is seeking a Med Tech/CNA to join our care team. The role provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, assisting residents with daily living activities and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Responsibilities include accurate charting, assisting in admissions and transfers, and providing both morning and evening care such as baths, hygiene, linens, and vital sign checks.

Qualifications

• Must be certified nursing assistant or currently enrolled in a nurse aide training program.
• Attend in-service programs, as assigned, to learn procedures and develop skills and meet state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care, maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents.
• Documents care in the Patient Care Record or similar charting system accurately.
• Assists in admission, transfer and discharge procedures and provides post-admission support.
• Performs morning and evening care tasks including bed baths, oral hygiene, dressing, linen changes, and room setup.
• Takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, and vital signs as directed.
• Adheres to center policies and participates in unit socialization activities.
