Job summary

Claiborne Senior Living is seeking Medication Technicians / CMAs to safely administer medications and support resident care in our senior living community, The Timbers on Blackwell Creek. If you are detail-oriented, dependable, and take ownership of resident safety, we’d love to meet you.

The role includes administering medications, following the Six Rights, monitoring residents, documenting accurately, and supporting activities of daily living with stringent infection control and regulatory

Qualifications

• Active CMA or Medication Technician certification (state requirements apply).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in senior living, assisted living, or healthcare preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Reliable, focused, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, and community policy.
• Follow the “Six Rights” of medication administration and proper documentation standards.
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and side effects.
• Report changes in condition or concerns to nursing leadership.
• Maintain accurate medication records and controlled substance counts.
• Support residents with activities of daily living as needed.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements.
