Job summary

Penn Medicine in New Jersey is seeking a Laboratory professional to support clinical testing and quality control within a busy laboratory setting. The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, regulatory practices, and continuous competency across testing areas.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a laboratory science, with ASCP certification or eligibility. Experience in a CLINICAL laboratory and ability to communicate with physicians and ancillary services are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, or laboratory science/medical technology science required.
• Non-US based education/ Education obtained abroad needs to be evaluated and certified as per US Standards (This evaluation and recognition can be obtained via World Services Education (WES))
• Recent experience in a CLINICAL laboratory setting (required for this position)
• ASCP CERTIFIED or ELIGIBLE to take ASCP examination (exam date needs to be provided)
• Medical Technologist (ASCP or NCA), Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP), or previously qualified as Medical Technologist prior to 2/28/92 under 42CFR493.1427 (3/14/90) REQUIRED.
• If candidate does not possess ASCP certification, they must be eligible to take the exam within 6 months of hire and have proof of scheduled exam date.

Salary Range

$29.48 - $47.01/Hourly
