We are seeking a compassionate and dependable med-tech professional to support residents in an assisted living environment during swing shift hours. In this role, you will help promote comfort, dignity, safety, and well-being by assisting with medication administration, observing resident needs, and working closely with the care team to deliver high-quality support. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys meaningful work, values teamwork, and takes pride in providing attentive, resident-centered care.
Hours: 8AM-4PM, 9AM-5PM, 10AM-6PM.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications in accordance with established policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the appropriate team member.
- Support residents with daily routines while encouraging independence and respect.
- Maintain accurate medication and care documentation in a timely manner.
- Follow care plans and communicate resident needs to supervisors and nursing staff.
- Assist with safety checks, wellness rounds, and general oversight during swing shift hours.
- Respond calmly and professionally to resident requests and urgent situations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for residents and team members.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and supportive atmosphere within the community.
Qualifications
- 6 Hour Med-Tech Certification
- Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a related caregiving setting preferred.
- Current medication administration certification or equivalent credential, where required by state or employer guidelines.
- Knowledge of safe medication practices and resident care procedures.
- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail.
- Compassionate approach with a commitment to resident dignity and quality care.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, and assisting with resident needs as permitted by policy.
