Job summary

Calyx Living in Durham, NC is seeking 1st Shift Medication Technicians for our assisted living community. As a Med Tech, you will administer medications and support Personal Care Assistants while ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.

Must have NC MT certification, with Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing experience, strong communication, compassion, and excellent organization. Weekend and holiday availability preferred.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina MT Certification required
• Assisted Living / Skilled Nursing experience a must
• Excellent communication with residents and families
• Compassion, patience and understanding for residents
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
• Supervisory background preferred
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents
• Support Personal Care Assistants (PCA) with personal care services
• Maintain and update medication administration records
• Communicate regularly with pharmacy, families, residents and supervisors
• Chart, document and verify medication orders
