Job summary

Calyx Living is actively seeking 1st Shift/2nd Shift Medication Technicians for our assisted living community in North Durham, near the Eno River and minutes from Duke University. You will administer medications and support Personal Care Assistants, while keeping meticulous records and communicating with families, residents, and supervisors.

• Active North Carolina MT Certification required.
• Experience in Assisted Living / Skilled Nursing is a must.

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
• Support Personal Care Assistants (PCA) with resident care.
• Maintain medication administration records and liaise with pharmacy, families, and supervisors.
• Chart and document resident status and care activities.
• Provide verbal encouragement to residents and ensure safety and dignity.

Calyx Living is actively seeking 1st Shift/2nd ShiftMedication Techniciansfor our assisted living community located in beautiful North Durham off the Eno River and just minutes from Duke University, the Durham Bulls Athletic Park and the American Tobacco Campus in downtown Durham's vibrant entertainment district. As a Med Tech, you will be responsible for the administration of medications and also be responsible for supporting the Personal Care Assistants (PCA's) by providing personal care services to our seniors. Additional responsibilities may include but aren't limited to: Keeping records updated on medication administrative files, regular communication with pharmacy, families, residents and supervisors, charting, verbal encouragement to support residents, and order/receive medication.

Must have a "safety first" attitude towards all of our residents and staff.

Qualifications
