Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano seeks a Registered Nurse for Medical-Surgical, day shift, full-time. The role delivers patient care using the nursing process in a 24-bed unit, focusing on med-surg patients including surgeries and stroke with multiple comorbidities.

Requirements include Nursing Diploma/ADN (BSN preferred), Texas RN licensure or compact licensure, ACLS/BCLS, CPI within 60 days, and 1 year of clinical experience (2+ years preferred).

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current TX RN licensure or compact licensure upon hire.
• ACLS and BCLS required upon hire; CPI within 60 days of hire.
• 1 year RN or RN residency; 2+ years acute care preferred.
• CLIAFE compliance for foreign education equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient and plans care.
• Intervenes as appropriate and evaluates outcomes.
• Incorporates age-specific safety and infection control.
• Communicates information needs to patients/relatives.
• Maintains continuity of care across shifts and transfers.
