TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati seeks an Acute Care Technician for the Med Surg Precision Abdominal unit. You will perform basic patient care under RN supervision, assisting with abdominal and gynecological post-operative care and contributing to safe, efficient unit operations.

This full-time day shift offers 12-hour shifts with a 6-week competency-based orientation, a supportive team, and opportunities to grow in remote telemetry, ostomy care, and general med-surg nursing

Qualifications

• 2 years High School Education
• Age 17 with work permit
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Reading and math ability appropriate to the position
• Experience as an STNA, PCA or ACT strongly preferred

Responsabilités

• Performs and documents basic patient care tasks under RN supervision; maintains competency in trained skills, completes assignments on time, and seeks clarification when needed.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment by reporting hazards, following Infection Control policies, completing safety event reports, and adhering to safety and emergency procedures.
• Communicates effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and team members; reports patient information and assignment issues promptly; documents observations accurately; collaborates with the healthcare team and uses the chain of command appropriately.
• Supports unit operations by performing supply, equipment, and environmental tasks; reports shortages or equipment problems and ensures supplies/equipment are ready for the next user.
• Demonstrates accountability and commitment to self-growth; identifies areas for improvement and supports organizational and unit changes.
