Job summary

CareRev is seeking a Med-Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for hospital shifts in West Allis, WI. You will provide hands-on care to adult patients recovering from surgery or with conditions like heart failure, chest pain, and infections.

Expect head-to-toe assessments, medication administration, and close monitoring of heart rhythms. You will partner with physicians, pharmacists, and fellow nurses to keep care on track and help patients prepare for discharge home.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing with State Board of Nursing.
• AHA BLS certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as an inpatient Med Surg RN (most recent within last year).
• Ability to assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate and delegate delivery of skilled patient care; shows critical thinking and adherence to established processes.
• Competent caring for patients on telemetry monitors, identifying basic arrhythmias, and interpreting EKG strips.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care to adult Med-Surg patients.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and administer medications.
• Monitor heart rhythms to detect problems early and act quickly.
