The role includes planning staffing, supervising daily operations, mentoring staff, and participating in hospital-wide quality initiatives. A BSN is required, with an MSN preferred, and AZ RN licensure or equivalent is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; MSN strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in the Med-Surg area.
• At least 2 years in a management or supervisory role is highly preferred.
• Current unrestricted nursing license from AZ or a compact state; ACLS/BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Functions as the RN Supervisor with 24-hour responsibility for Med-Surg nursing services.
• Plan the unit work and adjust staffing to meet patient care needs.
• Lead personnel actions, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and ensure Joint Commission readiness.
