Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing certificate.
• Current California RN license
• BCLS, ACLS (AHA), Basic Dysrhythmia, NIHS Stroke certificates upon hire and maintain.
• Proficiency in written and oral communication; leadership, teamwork and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Set priorities according to patient care needs and perform assessments.
• Document care and progress based on diagnoses and standards of practice.
• Reassess patient condition and manage transfers/discharges as appropriate.
• Recognize signs of emergencies, initiate timely actions and interventions.
• Identify and report abuse; apply National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG).
• Assess and prevent patient falls and skin breakdown; manage restraints as needed.
• Coordinate total nursing care using the plan of care for continuity.
• Teach and document patient education; ensure understanding at discharge.
